Red Shoes and Pictures

I have a pair of red shoes. Owen is obscessed with wearing other peoples shoes. But there is one pair of my shoes he wants the most. My red shoes! A few weeks ago I found both of them in the trash, and then three days ago I found both of them in the toilet! He either hates them or loves them, I don't know which.

Finally! Here is an UPDATE!

It has been a while since I updated this thing. I could not access it for a long time for some reason. So much has happened since the last time I was on this blog. I will start with Christmas. This year we had a great Christmas. The kids got a tent with tunnels and they are crazy about it. About two weeks before Christmas we made an offer on a house that was twice the size of our condo, and we were pretty sure this owner of the house was going to accept it. So we bought a big tent for the kids for Christmas (it takes up our entire living room) and then the offer fell through after negotiating three times. The guy was asking too much for the house, so we backed out. The house had a 450 sq ft. playroom, so a big tent was a perfect gift. Needless to say we are even more crowded in our condo now. YAY!!!!

Janruary started out fine, just a little irritating living in our condo, but for the most part everything was good. Then on the 28th of Janruary I got a call from Michael Kelly's telling me that he was in the hospital with conjestive heart failure. He was here in Ruidoso for three days, and the doctors said they found no sign of infection in his blood which was good news, but they needed to know why his legs were swelling and his heart was racing. His parents took him to a cardiologist in Roswell and they looked at his heart and found that there was a massive infection and it had severely damaged his heart. He was taken in a helecopter to Albuquerque and admitted into the cardiac ward. They ran a bizillion tests and found out that Michael had gone to the dentist two years ago and he had a cavity, and the doctor did not take the whole tooth out, and the tooth eventually abcessed and the infection spread to Michaels heart and almost killed him. He was there for two weeks before the doctors performed open heart surgery. It was a 14 hour surgery, and the Doctor said his heart was really bad. Michael had to have two valves replaces and they did some other repairs to the damaged areas. He was able to come home a week and a half after surgery. The whole time Michael was in the hospital God was using him to be a light for Him. It was a very difficult thing for him and his loved ones to go through, but God was with everyone the whole time. I was in Albuquerque 4 weekends in a row to be with him and his family.

After the third weekend I was in Albuquerque, I came home to a sick Owen. He started throwing up on Saturday night, which does not mean much for Owen (he has a gag reflex like a bulemic person), and he was really conjested. He just got worse on Sunday, and finally on Monday we took him to the ER and they admitted him for signs of Puemonia. It was aweful, he got poked with needles so much, and they kept him on breathing treatments which he hates! The night they admitted him, I woke up in the middle of the night feeling so sick, so Mike stayed with Owen and I went home with the stomach flu. The next day Scarlett started feeling bad and so we took her to the ER and they said she was okay but to watch her. She ended up getting double ear infections, but never had to be in the hospital. Owen got to come home after three days and stay on breathing treatments every three hours. Both of the kids were coughing so much that they were puking. It was an AWESOME week! Mike and I had been planning on going to a marriage retreat, which he sold his Lakers tickets for, so I felt like we really needed to go. I mean how many guys sell Lakers tickets so they can take their wives to a marriage retreat? After our terrible week we decided to leave the kids with my mom and Greg and go on the retreat. It was well worth it.

When we got home from the retreat, the kids were healthy, and everything was getting better, and then we got an offer on our condo.A man offered a trade for our condo for his house. The house was a house we had looked at three years ago and loved, but we did not want to accept an offer then. We had been prequalified for a loan in December and so when we decided to accept the offer (which was way under what we qualified for) I thought there was no rush to get the financing. The day we decided to accept the offer, I had an appointment at 1pm to get my ring apprasied. It only to 15 minutes for that and so I decided to spend the last 45 minutes of my lunch break talking to our mortgage broker. When I got to his office He told mr that we had two hours to get this deal done and sign contracts in order to get an FHA loan. It was the most stressful two hours of my life! On top of it all Mike was busy at work, so he could not talk to me and I had to make all of the lifechanging decisions without him and hope he was cool with it! That was three weeks ago and because of all of the financing problems in America, we are still wating on our loan to close. We were pre approved, but at this point anything could happen in underwriting and we might not get the house. We are praying that we do, but it has been nothing but stress for three weeks! A lot of decisions we are making are going to be affected by this, so it is a big deal that this happens. If it does not happen, I guess God has another plan for us.

Some other crappy things that have happened:
1. Our hard drive crashed on our business computer, and we have not done our taxes yet. We were supposed to meet with our accountant and the computer crashed two days before that meeting.
2.We have a buyer for the business, but we can not sell it until the house thing goes through.
3. Spring break was not good for business. We depend on spring break money to get us through april, and we don't have that money this year. Thank God I have a job too.
4. I am in School full time. Yes, it is my fault I took on too much, but I am so overwhelmed right now. I am in a math class and I have a 69% which is a huge accomplishment for me, but it has put me in warning of being on acedemic probation. I have all A's and B's in my other classes!

Oh well. Thats life! I will try to get some pictures up soon. Carrie
