here are our halloween pictures. scarlett was a frog and owen just had a pumpkin hat. we handed out thousands of pieces of candy at our restaurant, to all o the kids in town, then we went to church where they had a little carnival. scarlett had a blast, and now she is on a major sugar high! yay for tonight!

the pumpkin patch at wal-mart

on wednesday we decided to take scarlett and owen to a pumpkin patch. it is a forty mile drive so we loaded up this kids around naptime and drove all the way out to the pumpkin patch. when we got there, there was a sign posted on the gate that said CLOSED! ahhhh! i was so mad and sad because we had told scarlett what we were going to do and then we had to break her little heart and tell her we couldnt go. so we went to wal-mart and got four big pumpkins for her to carve, and when i say her i mean me and mike carved them. all four of them! when we got to wal-mart she started screaming theres the pumpkin patch. they have these big cardboard boxes full of pumpkins and she thought that that was the pumpkin patch. she was so happy!

Scarlett is such a good big sister. it is really fun to see her try to take care of him and she gets really concerned when he cries...or makes any kind of noise because scarlett thinks he is crying if he makes any kind of movement or noise. I have to watch her around him though because she doesnt understand that she cant hold him or drop him. this morning she was tickling his feet and he was twitching them and she thought it was really funny...he was not happy!

Scarlett's fashion sense!

Scarlett loves to wear hats. she doesnt care if it looks good or not she wants to wear hats...and this orange bath mitt on her foot. she would love to leave the house like this everyday. she thinks she looks so amazing. i agree with her but we dont go out like this.

owens issues!

Owen has jaundice! it was pretty bad so he had to do light therapy. for those of you who dont know what that is, it is a really horrible way to get rid of jaundice. they have to sit under this light box for 15 hours a day. i could only take him out to feed him and change his diapers. after the second day of this i decided i am not going to put him through this anymore and so we took him out. i put him in the sun a couple times a day and now his jaundice is going away on its own. we get to hold him and take him out of the house and i love it. i hated not being able to bond with him! oh, he sleeps so good! he slept all night last night. i had to wake him up two times to feed him and he fell right to sleep after i was done. and scarlett has been sleeping really good lately too. i keep asking myself "how did i get two amazing kids!?

we had visitors!

My dad and step mom came to see owen this week. it was so nice to have them. we have a lot of fun with them and they have a lot of fun with our kids. my dad had a long beard when he came and scarlett shaved it off this week. i stupidly did not take any pictures of it...her face was hilarious! we also carved some pumpkins and she had a lot of fun with that too. she made a huge mess. we had been telling her that we would get some pumpkins and it got put off because owen arrived early, so she was really excited about it...i didnt take pictures of that event also! i need to get on the ball with picture taking.
